In this free event hosted by Global Premodern Studies, Heimbuch performs Beowulf, an early medieval poem recounting the hero's epic battle monsters, in a modern adaptation that brings the past alive and allows audiences to experience the drama the same way medieval people did--as a riveting performance. It also demonstrates epic poetry as a vibrant medium touching on universal themes.
