La Casita commemorates Latino Heritage Month 2025 with a new exhibit, "Corpórea / Corporeal" -- a vibrant showcase of collaborative art, large scale works highlighting creativity as a powerful force for storytelling, healing and identity.
This free public event features musical performances by the Latin Grammy-winning Pedro Giraudo Tango Quartet, dance with La Familia de la Salsa, traditional Spanish-Caribbean cuisine, and presentation of the creative minds behind the exhibit, including:
- Bennie Guzmán (G’25, Creative Art Therapy)
- Paola Méndez (G’25, Museum Studies): Curator, overseeing layout, presentation, and installation of the exhibition.
- Maria Victoria Arenas (G’25, Magazine, News & Digital Journalism)
- Brenda Teruy (G’25, Museum Studies)
- Mateo López-Castro (‘26, Sociology & Television, Radio & Film)
