Location: 114 Bird Library
Part of the Syracuse Symposium series.
Kelly Hayes, author and editor of multiple books on organizing and activism, including the recent Read This When Things Fall Apart: Letters to Activists in Crisis, draws on their experience as an organizer, movement educator, and storyteller who has been involved in many critical recent protest movements to weave together a talk on the world changing work activists can dream into existence. This program supports the Special Collections Research Center’s current exhibition, We Demand! A Legacy of Activism in America, which uses collections on activism and social reform to document how individuals and groups have fought to expand rights across American history.
