Jacques presents her teachings on Haudenosaunee principles of peace and democracy while guiding participants on a tour of The Skä•noñh – Great Law of Peace Center. This series seeks to reframe historical narratives to center Onondaga heritage taught by Onondaga people and to highlight local Indigenous knowledge keepers as crucial teachers for shared futures.
The Skä•noñh – Great Law of Peace Center is a Haudenosaunee Heritage Center on Onondaga Lake focused on telling the story of the native peoples of central New York through the lens of the Onondaga Nation.
Free bus transportation between campus and the Skä•noñh Center is available (departing campus by 6:15pm -- get details through the registration process) and traditional Haudenosaunee refreshments will be provided.
