Meet the Author: Irene Vallejo

The department of Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics invites the campus community to an informal meet and greet with Vellejo, author of the acclaimed book Papyrus: The Invention of Books in the Ancient World. Vallejo's national book tour includes a public lecture at Le Moyne College at 6:00 p.m.

This award-winning study about the origins of the book has been translated from Spanish into numerous languages and has been reviewed in the Washington Post, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and other venues. It was named a Times (UK) Book of the Year and an Economist Best Book on Culture and Ideas. Vallejo has earned several prestigious honors in Spain, including the National Essay Award.
