Join the current Syracuse University Art Museum Art Wall Project artist Stephanie H. Shih and Lily C. Wong, Harry der Boghosian Fellow at the School of Architecture, for a workshop at the SU Art Museum. Participants will discuss Shih’s ceramic rice bag sculptures as well as related objects from the Museum’s permanent collection. We’ll explore ideas around food culture, production, and consumption through the interrelated lenses of diaspora and rice, a staple food around the globe. The workshop includes a hands-on art-making activity. Open to Syracuse University and SUNY ESF undergraduate and graduate students.
Space is limited! Please inquire about participating.
